Two neighbours, one look.
Two houses side by side in East Credit, each rebuilt opening by opening in black outside and white inside — about two dozen windows and doors between them. Here's a real Mississauga project from our books, exactly as we built it.
What the homeowners wanted
Both families wanted the same thing: a clean, modern black exterior without losing the character of their brick homes. That meant custom curved fixed windows built to follow the existing brick arches over the bedroom and stairway openings, black casements and sliders everywhere else, frosted glass in the bathrooms, and a one-piece glass patio door off each kitchen. At the front, both houses got wide 42-inch stained entry doors with frosted sidelites — which meant cutting the original door openings wider and adding structural support before the new doors could go in.
What made it hard
- Wider front doors. A 42-inch door with a sidelite doesn't fit a builder's opening — we cut each entry wider, added structural support above, and reworked the brick detail around it.
- Curved glass on a brick arch. Each house has arched openings — the new fixed windows had to be custom-curved to follow the masonry exactly, twice per house.
- Nine-foot window combinations. The master bedrooms took 60×103-inch fixed-over-casement units — big, heavy glass set precisely on the second floor.
- Three manufacturers, one finish. VinylPro windows, Cobra entry doors, and Integral units — coordinated so both houses read as a single black-and-white system.
- Winter installs, weeks apart. The first house went in over two days in December, the second in January — brick-to-brick, with all-new interior finishes, in Canadian winter conditions.

Do I need a building permit to replace windows in Mississauga?

Yes. The Ledbury Crescent project on this page used custom curved fixed windows built to follow the homes' existing brick arches, in black outside and white inside. Casement, fixed, slider, hung, and arched shapes are available in custom exterior colours with white or matching interiors, plus frosted glass for bathrooms.
How long does a full-house window replacement take in Mississauga?
Most full-house replacements take one to three days on site once your windows arrive from the manufacturer. Each of the two Ledbury Crescent houses on this page — about a dozen openings including a widened front entry — took roughly two days, installed in December and January. We work clean, protect your floors, and haul away every old window and all debris.
